Tribute to Leonardo Da Vinci The Last Supper (1494-1498). A powerful reinterpretation  a reenactment in gray tones, with only the landscape in color, like three windows to heaven, and the imminent resurrection.

The moment Captured :

The representation is frozen at the moment when Jesus dips a morsel of bread into the Passover meal and offers it to Judas Iscariot, saying, "What you must do, do quickly." He then states, "Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me," and announces his arrest. The Evangelists are portrayed in groups of three, like a series of successive emotional waves, with the isolated and dominant figure of Christ at the center, who bears on his hands the stigmata of his Passion and Crucifixion shortly thereafter. 

Theological Significance :

John rightly emphasizes that it is the hour of darkness, the hour of the Evil One, who vents his anger against the Son of God. It is not the traitor who occupies time and space; Christ is sovereign, his freedom is sovereign, his gift is regal, his self-offering, the love that, unloved, conquers the world. addition to the Gospel episode, the work also symbolizes the institution of the Eucharist, the bread and wine offered by Jesus in his memory.
